LotiFinanceDocs

Introduction

LotiFinance lets you accept MTN Mobile Money and Orange Money payments through a single REST API. This section documents exactly what the API does today — every field, every status and every limitation — so nothing here is aspirational.

How integration works

There is no SDK and no client library. You call one endpoint to create a charge, redirect your customer to a hosted checkout page, and the rest happens on our side.

1. Create a charge

POST the amount and customer details to /v1/charges/ with your secret key. You get back a checkout_url.

2. Redirect to checkout

Send your customer to checkout_url. We host the MTN / Orange Money payment flow — you don't build any UI for it.

3. Get notified

When the payment completes, we POST a signed charge.completed webhook to your server with the final status.

Base URL

Which host you call depends on which key you're using — sandbox for sk_test_ keys, live for sk_live_ keys:

Base URL
https://sandbox.lotifinance.com/v1 (sk_test_ keys)
https://live.lotifinance.com/v1 (sk_live_ keys)

What's in these docs

  • Quickstart — create and complete your first charge in sandbox.
  • Authentication — API key format and how test vs. live keys work.
  • Charges — the full create and retrieve reference, with every field and status.
  • Webhooks — how payment notifications are signed and delivered.
  • Errors — the exact shape of error responses.

No SDKs yet

Everything here is plain HTTPS and JSON — any language that can make an HTTP request can integrate. If you're used to installing a client library, you won't need one: there's one endpoint to call.
